“The Legacy Walk of Fame is about ensuring African Americans—and others—who helped build  this community are remembered, celebrated, and recognized for their contributions, particularly  their advocacy for our civil rights,” said Sabu Williams, President, NAACP, Okaloosa County  Branch. “We invite everyone to join us at the May Day Festival opening ceremony as we  recognize the 2026 inductees and celebrate the legacy they leave for future generations.” Community members, supporters, and media are encouraged to attend the ceremony and festival  activities. Additional details about the NAACP Legacy Walk of Fame and future  commemorations will be shared by the NAACP as they become available.
