The Okaloosa County Branch NAACP is proud to announce its 33rd Annual Freedom Fund Banquet, set to take place on November 8, 2025, at the Niceville Community Center, located in Niceville, Florida. Embracing this year’s inspiring theme, “Be The Spark: Igniting Tomorrow’s Freedom, Today”, This highly anticipated event serves as the branch’s premiere fundraising occasion and brings together community leaders, members, and supporters to celebrate achievements and further the mission of civil rights and social justice. “Our Freedom Fund Banquet is more than a celebration—it’s a call to action. Each year, we come together to honor those who have paved the way and to ignite the spark of justice and unity in our community. I invite everyone to join us as we continue the work of advancing equality and empowering tomorrow’s leaders.” Stated Sabu Williams, Branch President.

This year’s banquet will feature esteemed Florida State Senator Dr. Rosalind Osgood as the guest speaker. Dr. Osgood is recognized for her unwavering dedication to education, equity, and advocacy throughout the state of Florida. Her leadership and commitment to empowering communities make her an inspiring voice for this year’s celebration.
Banquet Highlights: Awards, Silent Auction, and Community Impact
Attendees will be treated to an evening of recognition as the Branch presents awards for outstanding community service, honoring individuals and organizations that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to positive change. The event will also feature a silent auction, with proceeds directly supporting local NAACP initiatives and programs. The Freedom Fund Banquet stands as the branch’s signature fundraising event, enabling continued efforts toward equality and justice in Okaloosa County.
